Curt G. Joa, Inc. has won the EDANA Innovation Award for its ESC-8 Electronic Size Change Unit. The patent-pending technology took the top honor in the “Innovation in machinery” category.

The JOA ESC-8 Electronic Size Change Unit brings new levels of product manufacturing flexibility to the Adult Pant category. Virtually endless combinations of insert and chassis design can be achieved with the push of a button and tool-less puck change. While the ESC-8 technology was conceived to help designers create the products best suited for the marketplace, the resulting sustainability benefits are also impressive. Manufacturers can save an average of 250 tons of material and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 490 tons annually.

“We’re innovating next-gen technologies so our customers can create the next-gen product solutions that differentiate their brand,” says Rick Michaletz, president of Curt G. Joa, Inc. “Our teams are constantly exploring new ways to help our customers lead in their categories.”
